08-17-11 | We are very sorry to announce that we will not be booking any more new shows after the end of summer. We have decided that we are going to stop performing together as a band after our New York State Fair show on September 2nd. We definitely want to continue performing, but as of right now it will not be together as "Hailey and Shawn". We will be keeping our website and our Facebook and YouTube pages up so you guys can still listen to our music and support us on the web. You can also keep your eyes open for each of us as we continue to pursue our music individually. We love you guys so much and could never fully describe our gratitude towards our fans. We know that we have accomplished things unheard of for people our ages and it's all thanks to you guys. Each person who got us a show and gave our "band of kids" a chance has gotten us to where we are today. Thank you to everyone for buying our CD's, coming to our shows, watching our videos, and singing our songs along with us in the audience. You have given us a huge step towards reaching our dreams, and we are forever grateful. We hope to always continue making music for you guys, because it's all about our fans and the music.
05-24-11 | Hailey and Shawn to compete in Showdown:
It's that time of year again! Hailey and Shawn will be competing in the Texaco Country Showdown Local competition for the 3rd year in a row through 98.1 The Hawk,WHWK. Formerly the Colgate Country Showdown, last year Hailey and Shawn made it al the way to the semi-finals in Marietta, OH. Come out to The Hideout on June 2nd to help support Hailey and Shawn in attempting their 3rd win.

Small town rockers with a big city sound, Hailey and Shawn are a rising talent on the local modern country music scene. With a wide range of cover songs as well as an array of originals, Hailey and Shawn are fast rising stars on the Southern-Tier music scene.
Together since the summer of 2008, the duo has grown into a full band with their brothers Cody and Carter on drums and bass and become regular favorites at venues throughout the Binghamton area. The band recently released a 6 song EP, "After the Rain", they recorded at New Clear Studios. Since winning the local round of the 98.1 The Hawk's Colgate Country Showdown Contest in both 2009 and 2010, the group has achieved a level of success rare for a teenage rock band. Most recently, Hailey and Shawn were named champions at the New York State round of the Colgate Country Showdown Competition. They have also opened for John Michael Montgomery, Julia Burton, Jason Michael Carroll, Josh Gracin and Cassidy Lynn. They have performed at the Spiedie Fest, Blueberry Fest, Canoe Regatta, Rec Park Music Fest, Chenango County Fairgrounds, Morris Fairgrounds, The Hideout, Nathaniel’s Pub, The Hitchin’ Post, The Potter’s House, Black Bear Winery, The Belden Hill Golf Coarse, The Stadium, The Honky Tonk, Annie’s Bar and Grill, the Super Celebration in Harpursville, Endicott Performing Arts Center, Cyber Café West, NYS Fair, The Silo, and as hosts of KNOW Theatre’s open stage night. The group has made several trips to Nashville taking the stage at Tootsie’s, The Listening Room Café, Legend's Corner, and The Stage.
Both from the small town of Harpursville, Hailey and Shawn have been active in music all of their young lives. Hailey has been singing since she was a child and started writing songs at the age of 11. She picked up the guitar in 2007 and taught herself before teaming up with Shawn. Shawn, a guitarist since the age of 7, joined Hailey on the mic after beginning to work together as musicians in the summer of 2008. The duo then began perfecting their skills at Johnson City’s “Rock Shop” program for young musicians and have been gigging together ever since.
Young, talented, ambitious, and energetic, Hailey and Shawn are on their way to putting their mark on the local music scene. Don’t let their age fool you, Hailey and Shawn are names you’re going to be hearing a lot in the coming years.
